Vanguard investigations showed that the visitor whose identity could not be ascertained as at press time, had arrived the MOD apparently for an official engagement, but was held up at the gate of the ministry due to the prolonged checks being carried out by soldiers attached to the ministry.
At a point, he decided to challenge the soldiers on duty over the manner he was being treated. It led to a shouting match and resulted into a scuffle with the armed soldier.
Other soldiers on guard subsequently joined hands to subdue the visitor, arrested him and took him to a Military Police facility where he was questioned about the motive of his visit and why he was fighting an armed soldier.
Sources later told Vanguard that the visitor who was not armed or found with any explosive or dangerous weapon, was being investigated by the ministry of defence security group to ascertain if he was sent on a spying mission on how to break into the Ship House ministry.
